Each year some local students who need to attend a summer school class for the purposes of improving their grades or skills in a particular subject are unable to do so, because their parents cannot afford the tuition cost. The DSS receives some funding from several local agencies to help these children; however, scholarship funds are never enough to meet the demand for assistance. Parents are urged to help us assist those children by making a small donation when they register their children for courses. All donations received go directly to paying tuition for students. Your help is always greatly appreciated.
If you would like to donate to the fund, indicate the amount on the registration form and add it to your total before writing your check or submitting your credit card.
It will go a long way in making the summer special for some of the children of Darien. Thank you!
