Readers' Masterpiece Theater

O020A (8:30-10:30) Grades 1-2
O020B (10:30-12:30) Grades 3-4

Lights! Camera! Action! Does your child like to dress up, act and create imaginary places? Each day the class will read a book together in "The Readers Circle" then move over to "The Actors Studio" where they will learn how to make that story come alive with various acting techniques and drama games.

Complete with props and dress-up costumes, your child will learn how to create a play from a story and be an actor in the theater. During the last week each actor will receive an Academy Award, complete with a walk down the famous red carpet and a powerpoint presentation of the extraordinary fun time we spent together. This class makes reading come alive, strengthens reading and language skills while developing confidence in students by performing for their peers and receiving an abundance of praise and having fun!
