Tell Your Story: Writing Your Memoir

This is a specialized writing workshop for students looking to focus specifically on their creative nonfiction and memoir writing. You will learn how to generate ideas, find your voice, and incorporate sensory details and dialogue to craft a powerful, engaging memoir or personal narrative. You will also be introduced to the different forms of memoir - travel, spiritual, political, personal, and more - to find the structure that best fits your story. Students will also analyze written texts, participate in workshops, and, if interested, explore opportunities for publication.
