Making Music with Garage Band
Ages 11-15
Have you ever wanted to create and
produce your own professional sounding songs
and share them with your friends and
family? Use your song as a ringtone? Now
you
can unlock your inner creativity and
music talent through the use of GarageBand.
GarageBand makes creating your own songs
fun, easy and exciting. In this class,
you
will learn how to record, edit, and mix
down your own songs. Students will learn
how
to record music, vocals, guitar, bass, drums
and use loops along with 1000's of virtual
sounds.
Students will learn recording and editing techniques that utilize
effects on
instruments and their songs like a
recording pro. Students will work at an
assigned
computer workstation in which they can
learn at their own pace during a two hour
period each day. There will be opportunities for students to
share their songs with the
other class members. This class is open up to 20 students per
session.
Students will need to bring a flash
drive or thumb drive (4G or better) to store their
projects to take home.
