Financial Assistance

A limited amount of funds will be available for Darien students in need of financial assistance for courses sponsored by DSS. (Parents should contact outside vendors for scholarship information about classes they sponsor). Families must qualify for the free/reduced lunch program in order to receive financial assistance for DSS programs.

How To Apply:

Financial assistance requests are accepted on a rolling basis beginning on March 1. The deadline to submit an application for financial assistance is April 15.

In order to apply, families should complete the registration form and medical form (found on our How To Register page) and indicate on the registration form that they are requesting a scholarship. Completed forms should be given to Vickie Festo at 35 Leroy Avenue.

If a Scholarship is Awarded:

Families will be responsible for paying $50 for an academic class (credit bearing courses only) and/or 50% of the tuition of an enrichment course. The family must complete the registration process and pay any tuition balance PRIOR to May 1.

*Scholarship awards may be transferred to other DSS programs for the same student for whom the award was made. Scholarship awards may NOT be transferred between family members.
