Comic Book Art

For students entering grades 6-9

This course will entail projects such as students creating and developing in detail their own characters which they will incorporate into a culminating final comic. Throughout the course, lessons and demos will be given on the fundamentals of visual story telling. This class will let students dive deep into developing fictional worlds in which to draw story lines from. Age appropriate reference materials will be pulled from Marvel Comics, DC Comics, and Shonen Jump Manga as well as a PBS film about the History of Comics.
